Festival de Cine y Gastronomía Convergen en Paraíso Anfitrión

Fuzhou, the capital of Fujian province in southeastern China, recently hosted the 12th Silk Road International Film Festival, showcasing its rich local culture and gastronomy.

As a paradise for food lovers, attendees of the festival had the opportunity to indulge in a variety of local delicacies, such as Fotiaoqiang, a dish whose name translates to 'Buddha jumps over the wall' in Chinese.

Fotiaoqiang is a typical dish from Fujian cuisine and is renowned for its rich flavors and numerous ingredients, which include seafood, chicken, ginseng, and mushrooms.

This hearty stew is believed to date back to the Qing dynasty, which lasted from 1644 to 1911, and its recipe is said to have been created by a local official.

In 2008, the local recipe for Fotiaoqiang was recognized and included in China's list of intangible cultural heritage.
